About Me

Hello and welcome — I'm Evgenia, a self-taught artist living in Montreal, Canada. While I work full-time as an accountant, art is the soul of my days.

Drawing has been my quiet companion for years, but only recently have I started treating it not just as a passion, but as a path — one that I hope will lead me to share more beauty with the world and connect with people through my work.

I specialize in colored pencil drawings, with growing curiosity for watercolor. My pieces are detailed, delicate, and deeply personal. I'm drawn to the intimacy of soft textures, the layering of light and shadow, and the stories that can be told with a single bloom, a quiet gaze, or a still moment.

I work on smooth, 100% cotton paper — often prepared using a special electrostatic coating process I developed myself, giving my pencils an almost velvety touch. I love building a piece slowly, starting with the subject and bringing the background to life afterward — a process that lets me focus on emotional depth and precision.

My studio is small, tidy — until I'm creating. Then it bursts into a beautiful mess of pencils, brushes, and ideas. I create between family life, French lessons, cooking, cleaning, and helping my daughters with homework. It's not always easy, but it's honest — and all of it pours into the work.

Art for me is not about perfection. It's about feeling. It's about pausing the rush of daily life to notice the extraordinary in the ordinary — and sharing that with you.
