Hello and welcome — I'm Evgenia, a self-taught artist living in Montreal, Canada (more specifically, Brossard, QC). While I work full-time as an accountant, art is what inspires me, refreshes me, and keeps me going.

Drawing has been my quiet companion for years, but only recently have I started treating it not just as a passion, but as a path—one that I hope will lead me to share more beauty with the world and connect with people through my work.

I specialize in colored pencil drawings, watercolor paintings, and ink drawings. My primary focus is on flowers and their delicate nature. It’s mesmerizing to observe how each bloom is unique and beautiful in its own way. A poppy might be simpler than an iris, but both have their own distinctive allure to show, presenting a unique set of challenges and triumphs to capture on paper.

When I work in colored pencil, I like to use smooth, 100% cotton paper. This paper is often finished with a proprietary electrostatic coating process I developed myself. This technique gives my pencils an almost velvety touch and transforms the regular hot press cotton into a truly archival, sanded surface, perfectly suited to layer more than 30 colors.

I create in the moments between family life, French lessons, cooking, cleaning, and helping my daughters with homework, as well as during my lunch breaks, to find a fresh breeze from my demanding daily job. It's not always easy, but it's honest—and all of it pours into the work.
